Starting at Ryneveld Street, Stellenbosch Museum entrance:
In Bletterman House:
1. Bernard Francois Posteur Dutch Grandfather Clock (1770)

In Grosvernor House:

In O.M. Berg House:
3. Mid-Victorian Longcase Clock,
4. Marble Mantel Clock
5. Gilded Dome Clock

In Erfurt house, down Ryneveld Street towards University
6. Van der Bijl Clock (1770),
7. Art Noveau American Swiss Upright Clock (1930)

Walk across to Sasol Museum, opposite Erfurt house for:
8. Roccoco Longcase Clock
9. Grandmother Clock (shorter than 2m)
10. Mantel Clock in black marble
11. Wall clock

Continue in same direction down Ryneveld Street towards Ou Hoofgebou on left, for:
12. Built-in wall clock on outside wall in quad (1886)

Cross the street, a little further down on right, walk across parking area to University’s new library JS Gericke Library, past Carnegie library situated beyond parking lot, for the most spectacular:
13. Johann Junck Longcase Clock (1770). Ask for permission to go to Afrikana Section to view the only clock declared a national monument!

Walk down Neethling Street, The Conserve is on the corner of Neethling and Victoria Street, stop at No 7, Caledon Villa for:
14. Wall clock (early 20th century)
15. Bakelite Lion Mantel Clock
16. Torledo-style Dome Mantel Clock

Walk down towards town, turn into Drostdy Street, for Moederkerk
17. Oldest Church in South Africa and church bells c. 1863

Walk towards Dorp Street and turn right until you come to 152 Dorp Street, Mr.Jacques Arzul’s Gun O’Clock for:
18. Interesting collection of amongst others Comtoise and Turret Clocks

Walk further down Dorp Street, take Bird Street to right, to find a huge lawn, called The Braak, on left, Rynse Mission Church
19. Church bells (1926)
20. Inside church a Station Wall clock

On far right side of The Braak, find Burger House (1797)
21. Kroes & Zoon Longcase Clock (1730)
22. 18th Century Friesland Wall clock

Now take a drive in your car towards Franschoek over Helshoogte Pass to Tokara Wine Estate, Tel: +27-21-808-5900 (also a wonderful place for lunch) and see:
23. French Turret Clock from Morez.
